Kamal Al-Hamdani — Product Manager, Sana'a & Riyadh

Open to Product roles — Saudi Arabia & the Gulf

I turn business problems into products people actually use.

Product Manager and founder with 12+ years across product, delivery and engineering. I've shipped 93 digital products — e-commerce, marketplaces, mobile apps and AI — and I write the spec, run the sprint and stand behind the release.

About

Engineer's hands.
Product manager's questions.

I started as a systems analyst and full-stack developer in 2014 — modelling databases, writing Laravel and shipping mobile apps. That decade of building is why I can sit in an architecture review and know exactly what "that's a two-sprint change" really costs.

In 2020 I founded OteK and moved from writing the code to deciding what gets written. Since then I've owned the product lifecycle for 93 digital products: discovery with real business owners, PRDs and user stories, roadmap and prioritization, sprint delivery, launch, and the unglamorous post-launch work of watching the numbers and fixing what's wrong.

My favourite problems are the ones where the business need is obvious but nobody has written down what "done" means. That's the job.

How I work

Five moves, every time

Ceremony is optional. These five are not — they're what keeps a roadmap honest when the client changes their mind in week three.

Discover

Sit with the business owner and their customers. Find the problem behind the feature request.

Define

PRD, user stories, acceptance criteria, non-functionals. Ambiguity is the enemy of velocity.

Prioritize

Value versus effort, honestly scored with engineering. Say no loudly and early.

Ship

Sprints, demos, release plan, cutover. Small increments beat big reveals.

Learn

Instrument it, read the numbers, kill what nobody uses. Then start again.

Selected work

Three products, three different problems

An AI assistant, a bilingual storefront and a two-sided SaaS. Different users, same job: decide what to build, then get it out the door.

OteK AI

Product Owner & Technical Lead

An Arabic-first customer-service assistant for small businesses — answering on WhatsApp, a website widget and in-app, around the clock, in formal Arabic and local dialect.

ProblemLocal merchants lose sales after hours. International chatbot SaaS doesn't handle Yemeni dialect and can't take local payment — a credit-card wall before the first message.
I ownedSegment and use-case definition, MVP scope, the multi-phase roadmap, knowledge-base training model, channel strategy, local payment rails and the analytics dashboard spec.
OutcomeA shipped platform: one dashboard, three channels, dialect-aware Arabic replies, bank transfer and e-wallet billing, setup measured in minutes rather than weeks.

Hamsa Beauty

Product & Delivery Lead

A beauty and cosmetics retailer moving from selling in DMs to running a real bilingual storefront that works on a mid-range phone.

ProblemOrders lived in chat threads. No catalog, no stock truth, no checkout — and every customer journey started in Arabic on mobile.
I ownedCatalog and variant model, checkout and payment flow, Arabic-first RTL UX with an English mirror, mobile performance budget, merchant dashboard and the release plan.
OutcomeA working bilingual storefront with a real product catalog, self-serve merchant admin, and a checkout the owner can operate without a developer on call.

Go Turbo Fitness

Product Owner & Technical Lead

A training-management platform for personal trainers — programs, client progress, habits, nutrition, messaging, groups and subscriptions in one place, with a coach dashboard on web and client apps on iOS and Android.

ProblemIndependent trainers run their business across WhatsApp threads, spreadsheets and memory. Programs get lost, progress goes untracked and payments are chased by hand — so a coach caps out at the number of clients they can personally hold in their head.
I ownedProduct definition across two audiences at once — the coach dashboard and the trainee apps. Scoped the exercise library and reusable week templates, progress tracking with photos and charts, habit and nutrition logging, group training with leaderboards, scheduled automations, and the package and subscription billing flow. Set the roadmap and the release sequence.
OutcomeA live bilingual platform where a coach runs their whole book of business from one screen — programming, check-ins, messaging, groups and recurring payments — with native client apps on both app stores and assistant-trainer roles for coaches running a team.
